Services

Four ways we usually get called out

Pick the closest match when you book — if it turns out to be something else, the technician will tell you on site before any extra work starts.

01

Standard service

The routine clean that keeps a healthy unit healthy and stops small faults becoming call-outs.

  • Filter wash and dry
  • Coil and fan check
  • Drain line flush
  • Refrigerant pressure read

02

Deep chemical clean

For units that smell musty, drip, or have not been opened up in a long time.

  • Indoor unit stripped down
  • Coil and blower wheel treated
  • Tray and housing sanitised
  • Reassembly and airflow test

03

Fault diagnosis

Not cooling, tripping, icing up or making a new noise — we find the cause before quoting a repair.

  • Electrical and sensor testing
  • Leak search on the circuit
  • Common parts carried on van
  • Written findings either way

04

Install & relocation

New splits, replacement units and moving an existing unit to a better wall.

  • Sizing for the actual room
  • Bracket and pipe routing plan
  • Vacuum, charge and commission
  • Old unit removed and recycled

How a visit runs

Three steps, no surprises

Most single-unit visits take about an hour. You will know the plan before anything is opened and the cost before anything is replaced.

  1. Tell us what the unit is doing

Send the request form with the room, the brand if you know it and what changed. We reply with a time window that suits the property.

  2. On-site check first

The technician measures airflow and temperatures, inspects the coil and drain, and walks you through anything that needs a decision.

  3. Clean, test, report

Work is done with sheets down and the area left as found. You get before-and-after photos and a short note on when the unit is next due.

Care plans

Book once, or keep it scheduled

Plans set the rhythm of your visits and what each one covers. Scope is confirmed in writing after the first inspection, so nothing is assumed about your units.

One-off

Single visit

A one-time service or clean for a unit that is due, or a room that has started to feel warm.

  • One indoor unit, one outdoor unit
  • Standard service checklist
  • Written findings and photos
  • Repair quote if anything is worn

Multi-unit

Whole-property care

For homes with several splits or a small office floor that needs one schedule and one point of contact.

  • Every unit logged with its own history
  • Visits grouped into one appointment
  • Consolidated report per property
  • Replacement planning before failure

Why Willow Grid

The parts of servicing people actually notice

Reports in plain words

No codes without an explanation. If a part is nearing the end of its life, we say roughly how long you have.

Tidy is part of the job

Drop sheets, shoe covers and a wipe-down afterwards. Nothing washed out into a garden bed or a stairwell.

Common parts on the van

Filters, capacitors, drain fittings and sensors travel with the technician, so simple faults finish in one visit.

Time windows we keep

You get a window rather than a whole day, plus a message when the technician is on the way to you.

Questions

Before you book

How often should a home unit be serviced?
Once a year suits most homes. Units running daily through summer, sitting near a busy road, or working in a home with pets tend to do better on two visits a year.
My unit smells musty when it starts. Is that fixable?
Usually, yes. That smell almost always comes from biological growth on the coil, blower wheel or drain tray. A deep chemical clean treats all three rather than masking the odour.
What causes a unit to get noisier over time?
Most new noises trace back to a loose fan blade, a worn bearing, debris in the outdoor unit or a bracket that has shifted. We identify the source on site and tell you whether it is a repair or a safe-to-ignore rattle.
Do I need to do anything before the technician arrives?
Clear roughly a metre of floor under each indoor unit and make sure the outdoor unit is reachable. If a unit is above a bed or a desk, let us know in the form so we bring the right platform.
Can you service a unit in a rented property?
Yes. Tenants can book a standard service or clean directly. Anything that counts as a repair or replacement needs the owner or manager to approve the quote first, and we send the report to whoever you nominate.
